• LOAD MONITORED FASTENERS: Built in Load Monitors are an effective solution to the problem of maintaining and checking proper pre-load on threaded fasteners. A stainless steel stem is placed in the center of the bolt. As the fastener is tightened, the tip of the stem is pulled flush with the machined top surface. When the stem is no longer felt, by moving a straight edge across the monitor, the fastener pre-load has been achieved. If over tightening occurs, the stem is lowered into the drilled hole and the load monitor is not damaged.

• ACCURACY: The load monitor will achieve the preset load +-5%. Each load monitor is set by hand and individually installed. Overstretching the fastener does not affect the load monitor.

• SAFETY: The load monitor has no cap or bolt to damage during the installation process. There are no moving parts to break. A steel cap is available to protect the stem from the environment.

• CHECKING LOAD: Only steel straight edge need be moved across the machined surface. If the stem is felt, additional tightening is required.
